How to Play
Quick start
Grow a settlement, earn Glory, advance through three stages, and destroy every enemy Town Hall and Fortress. The first minutes:
- Put Laborers to work
Drag a box around your five Laborers (hold Shift to add more to a selection; Settings → Key bindings can make it Ctrl) and right click berries or trees. Keep the Town Hall training more (50); send the Scout to find deer, Stone, and the enemy.
- Build Houses early
You start with room for 15; each HouseE adds 10. Select a Laborer, press the key, click to place.
- Raise a Barracks
A BarracksB trains Pikeguards and Swordsmen, your only soldiers in Homestead. A few guard against early raids.
- Farm before the berries run out
A FarmF makes a Field for 4 farmers that lasts a long time. Add a Lumber CampL and Mining CampM by distant woods and Stone.
- Light a Beacon for Glory
Stages cost Glory. A BeaconN earns it steadily; holding landmarks earns more.
- Advance to March
At the Town Hall, for 150100100: archers, cavalry, siege, and Banner Bearers open up.
AI opponents
- Easy: For first matches: a small economy, no Walls, and small attacks from minute 11.
- Medium: The standard opponent: it answers the army you field and defends where you attack.
- Hard: A macro opponent: a big economy, Walls and Towers, and waves aimed where you are weak.
- Very Hard: The strongest AI, with no cheats: a fortress, a big economy, and waves that go to win.
