Terms of Service
These terms apply when you play Bannerwake at bannerwake.io, alone or with others, and when you sign in to it. By playing or signing in you accept them. Last updated 30 September 2026.
THE GAME
Bannerwake is a free real-time strategy game that runs in your browser. There is nothing to buy. It is still being developed: its rules, balance, and features change, saved matches and statistics may be reset, and the game or its multiplayer server may be unavailable at times.
PLAYING FAIRLY
Play to have fun and let others do the same. Do not cheat, use bugs to win or to spoil other players’ matches, let a program play for you in multiplayer, or disrupt the game or its server (by flooding it with requests, probing it for weaknesses, or getting around its limits). If you find a bug, please report it instead. Player names must not be offensive, pretend to be someone else, or break the law.
ACCOUNTS
An account is optional. You sign in with Google or Discord, whose own terms apply to your account there. Keep your account to yourself. You can delete it at any time under Settings → Account. An account or a player name that breaks these terms may be suspended, renamed, or deleted.
WHAT BELONGS TO WHOM
The game, its art, and its text belong to its developer; the music belongs to its composers and is used under their licenses (see the music credits in Settings). You are welcome to stream, record, and share videos and screenshots of your matches. What the game records about your play, and how you can have it deleted, is set out in the Privacy notice.
NO GUARANTEES
The game is provided free of charge and as it is, without any promise that it works without errors or interruptions or that your progress is kept. As far as the law allows, its developer is not liable for any loss that comes from using it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
CHANGES
These terms may change as the game does; the date above shows the current version. If a change matters to you, the site will say so. Playing on after a change means you accept it.
